TEST SPACE RESIDENCY PROGRAMME, RESIDENCY COORDINATOR/CURATOR FOR LIMERICK CITY GALLERY OF ART, 2021 THROUGH 2022. Shared by permission of LCGA. This residency considered the availability of LCGA both physically and virtually, directly informed by a commitment to EDI policies. From 2021, and over the first 2 inaugural editions, artists Karl Doran, Rajinder Singh, Fiona & Rowena Quill, and Rachel Rothwell explored their practises through new inclusive community lenses - both onsite and online, in a hybrid programme of physical and virtual residencies. All artists were supported by the gallery over 2 months, and produced work with a number of local groups through workshops and conversation including the migrant artist collective Art Nomads, the Limerick Sudanese Community, Mná na nEalaín and the University of the Third Age. Their work was showcased for a number of weeks after each residency in the purpose built Herbert Gallery studio space. |
